Solidarity with all members of
UCU in Chesterfield.
All branches need to show that
the fragmentation of terms and conditions will not be tolerated. This
action by management is part of the greater government agenda of regional pay
and we need to constantly remind ourselves, and the general public, that this
government is driving management philosophy.
Management's belief that they
can drastically cut people's wages and living standards is propped up by the
government's 'austerity' measures, which is becoming the accepted way forward
due to the drip-feeding by a compliant media and an ineffective parliamentary
opposition.
